Recently Gustav photographed Kerri & Brett’s wedding in Plettenberg bay. This was the 4th referral from inside their circle of friends and it was a real honour to have been present at so many of their special days. It was also great seeing some familiar faces.
On to their Simcha, well it could be described more as a 3 day wedding festival that took Plett by storm. It was amazing! It started for Gustav at the Secret Sunrise Dance session early on the Friday morning and culminated in an amazing beach session on the Monday. The in between is a bit blurry… but luckily not the photos.
Kerri and Brett are one of those special couples. Their intense organising skills are only eclipsed by their big open caring hearts. That they can’t hide, because it just flows from them naturally. I suppose it comes from their deep rooted family ties, all the way to a rocking grandmother and by Rocking, we literally means rocking and dancing!
We just loves Jewish weddings. The vibe and buzz is so cool and the bridesmaids and groomsmen really help enhance it, with all the banter and jokes. From the outset Gustav could see that this was going to be a party. The Chuppah at Beacon Isle was the perfect setting for a ceremony and the reception venue Ouland Royale was amazingly beautiful. Rustic, but modern, big but seriously intimate. And the food was definitely 5-star. Just lovely!
The party gained momentum – I mean what else can you expect from this fun bunch. The dance floor was a custom built deck, but the horas saw to it that nearly didn’t last the evening. It was crazy!
Stepping back and looking at all the detail, it’s too much to mention. (I’ll let the photo’s tell the story) Tears flowed, so did the laughter and naturally the infectious love these two feel for each other poured out onto everyone. People danced, people sang, people partied. Did I mention, people partied?
Kerri and Brett or rather KP and Brie, you are special. Definitely rockstars in our eyes. If you live your life like your wedding, then you are going to have some serious adventures! Enjoy every moment! L’chaim!
A stand-out moment: When Kerri and her girls followed Gustav out onto the main road of Plett and posed in their robes at a traffic circle. People hooted, they blew kisses and waved. So much fun!
